UIL realignment sends Clifton packing

With the announcement of the new University Interscholastic League realignment last Thursday, seven of the eight Bosque County schools were hit with drastic and somewhat surprising changes.

For the second consecutive realignment, the Class 3A Clifton Cubs found themselves moved to a new district to face all new opponents. The Cubs will leave District 11-3A, Division II in Region III behind and move to Region II’s District 8-3A, DII, joining state quarterfinalist Lexington (13-1), Florence (4-7), Rogers (4-6), and Hamilton (5-4) moving up from Class 2A, DI.
