Bosque Arts Center honors Flanagans at annual fundraiser

The Bosque Arts Center two-day Big Event is the annual event to attend. This year’s theme “Fly me to the Moon,” conjured up images of being swept off your feet, into higher spheres.

And that is exactly what both evenings delivered to the guests filling the Tin Building Theatre. They were over the moon with the experiences.

The Big Event literally “kicked-off ” with a long and delightful evening of dancing to Grady Gaines and the Texas Upsetters. The band provided a lively mix of jazz, 50s rock, soul, and even a country song or two for the two-steppers among the guests. And of course they played the Fly me to the Moon, the evening’s theme song, complete with the “Skat Man” skats.
