Cub track gears up for district at Jacket Relays

In their final tune-up before the district track and field championships in McGergor this Wednesday and Thursday, the Clifton Cubs and Lady Cubs competed in the Jacket Relays at Meridian last Thursday.

Competing in a strong 21-team field, the Clifton boys placed second as a team with 75 points, behind meet champion McGregor with a commanding 177. Once again demostrating the depth of their program, the JV Cubs finished first with 139 points ahead of McGregor with 110.67

“We were very excited to bring home a first and second place team finish,” Meridian boys track head coach Brent Finney said. “We had some really good performances heading into district next week.”
