To the Editor: The October 18 front page articles in The Clifton Record and Meridian Tribune describing my recent presentations to the city councils of Clifton and Meridian contained references to “errors” in the cities’ 2006 surface water contract. Three of those references directly implicated me as being the cause of what is now known to be a long-standing problem.

B orn Flavius Valerius Constantius in 272 AD, the son of a Roman army officer who became a Caeser, Constantine I is known as Constantine the Great because he had the most positive influence on Christianity of anyone else for two hundred years before or after. He grew up in the court of Augustus Diocletian who was one of the most brutal and anti-Christian emperors the Empire ever knew.

S ince the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas, I’ve tried to organize some important facts –from firsthand accounts and research. I have enough for a book. The lack of outrage over the killing, maiming, raping, beheading of children, adults, and elderly sicken me. There are protesters who claim it never happened, despite pictures and videos proudly posted by terrorists while using both innocent Palestinians and Israelis as human shields. This is real.

Dear Bosque County voters, Please vote “YES” to Proposition #9 on the General Election Ballot on November 7, 2023. Proposition 9 would give TRS (Texas Retirement System of Texas) retirees a COLA (cost of living adjustment).

Blood pressure spikes

I experienced a blood pressure spike a couple of months ago. A little pill given in the ER lowered it, and the episode was over like it never happened. Did you know that BP’s controlled by the kidneys and not the heart? Weird, huh?

I n the coming weeks we will continue our journey through the tumultuous first thousand years of Christianity. Although it brought lasting divisions to the religion, they were nothing compared to what would happen during the second thousand years.
