Local Report Clifton ISD Clifton Independent School District is selling books for young readers through Wednesday, August 2, in the middle school gym. The sale is open to the public during the workdays from 9 a.m.

Mondays weekly 11:30 a.m. – Bosque County Senior Services / Meals on Wheels Program serves meals to seniors aged 60 and up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Family Life Center at 300 North Main Street in Meridian.

Lawyer Herb Haschke will give a presentation on “The Impeachment of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton” during the Bosque Democratic Club’s meeting on Thursday, July 20 at the Clifton Civic Center.

A disc golf tournament is coming to Clifton on Saturday, September 2. Registration is now open for a “Trilogy Challenge,” according to the tournament organizer.

The Bosque Arts Center’s Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26. The July theme is memoir, and this month’s selection is “You Could Make This Place Beautiful” by Maggie Smith, the awardwinning American poet, not the British Maggie Smith.

The Clifton High School Class of 1973 had their 50-year class reunion at the Blossom Shoppe in Clifton on May 20, 2023. A fun time was had by all.
