Longtime Clifton resident Mary Bergman celebrated her 100th birthday on January 6 surrounded by loved ones at the Heckman Residence in Clifton. Mary was a farm girl and enjoyed playing basketball in school.

Betty and Virgil Tindall of Cranfills Gap recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Olaf’s restaurant followed by a reception at their daughter’s home in Clifton. Surrounded by their four children, many of their grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as other family members, the night was one of remembrance and gratitude for many years of blessings.

On Wednesday, Dec. 15 Bosque County Sheriff Trace Hendricks held an award ceremony for officers and all involved agencies for their heroic actions which saved multiple lives.

Jane Scott was honored for her years of service at Bosque Arts Center at the annual Arts of Christmas open house Friday, Dec. 3. Scott retired as managing director of the BAC in November 2020, but the center had to delay a reception for her due to COVID restrictions at the time.

The annual ladybug invasion appears to be in motion. Reports of ladybird beetles, commonly known as ladybugs, invading homes and structures across the southern U.S.

Bosque County Emergency Coordinator and Fire Marshal Kirk Turner spoke to the West Shore Civic Association during their last meeting, encouraging them to learn from the past to be prepared for the future.
