Looking for thrills and chills this Halloween? Clifton has you covered. The Bosque Film Society, in association with the CLIFTEX Theatre, is hosting its first themed film festival – the Halloween Free Film Fest, which will feature six different spooky and fun movies over four days, Oct. 28-31. In addition to watching the films, movie goers can also participate in a Halloween costume contest, raffles, sing-a-longs and the premiere of the Bosque Film Society’s short film, GAL MANNS SKRIK (Norwegian for “Madman’s Scream”).

The City of Clifton Main Street extends a heartfelt “Thank You!” to all who made FallFest a great success! What a beautiful day we had in Historic Downtown Clifton for the 20th annual event! Hosting the celebration is a privilege of the City of Clifton and Clifton Main Street volunteers, and we are delighted that the community came to downtown for a funfilled day.

Saturday, Oct. 16 was another great turn out for Bacon Bash! The smell of bacon, live music and cheerful chatter filled the air.

Food, music, games, shopping and entertainment, FallFest had it all. Beautiful fall weather set the scene for FallFest in Clifton, where hundreds of people came for a day of fun in the historical district.

Members of The Bosque County Genealogical Society and the Ringness family met on Saturday, Oct. 16 to clean the gravestones of Jens Ringness (Nov. 8, 1802—Aug. 12, 1822) and his wife, Kari Ringness (Nov. 1, 1802—Sept. 2, 1878), who are buried in the Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in Norse.

Saturday, Oct. 23 National Championship BBQ Cookoff is happening this day at Bosque Bottoms in Meridan.
