One killed in crash

One died and three other were transported to hospitals in critical condition after a crash involving six motorcycles and a truck last weekend.

Names have not been released as next of kin had not been notified as of Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety indicate troopers responded to the crash on State Highway 6 northwest of Clifton, near FM 2136, at about 3:20 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11.

"A group of motorcyclists crashed into each other while attempting to pass a vehicle traveling northbound," incident reports states. "A Harley-Davidson took evasive action to avoid the crashed motorcycles and crashed into the side of a Dodge Ram traveling southbound."

The driver of the Harley-Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other motorcyclists were transported to surrounding hospitals in critical condition. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is still active and ongoing.
