Meridian Parks and Rec will present the 1999 animation, The Iron Giant, as this month’s Free Outdoor Movie Night on Saturday, July 17 at the John A. Lomax Amphitheater in Meridian.

-Mark Wayne Sims, of Hamilton, was arrested by Hamilton County on June 25 for indecency with a child by sexual contact. -Kenneth Dravon Bible, of Clifton, was arrested by Bosque County on June 26 for driving with an invalid license with previous conviction or suspension without final resolution, violation of occupational drivers license failure to appear, driving with no insurance and driving with expired vehicle registration.

As of 11:05 a.m. Monday, the Texas DSHS reported 1,385 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in Bosque County and an additional 313 cases were probable. Only 5 cases were active, and 1,656 individuals had fully recovered. The number of related deaths in the county rose by one to 37.
