Jose Cano, crew chief in Vietnam

Vice Commander of VFW Post #8553 Jose Cano had just turned 20 when he joined the fight in Vietnam in October of 1971. As a Specialist E-5 in Army Aviation he was a crew chief door gunner and had some mechanics and aviation maintenance training at Fort Rucker.

At the January 2021 planning meeting the Ringness Museum once again prepared for their annual Spring Social money raising fund. They soon realized this could not happen this year. Instead, they decided to mail letters to friends of the Ringness House Museum asking for help during this second year of COVID-19.

COVID-19 update: State reports zero new COVID-19 deaths

During Monday’s Bosque County Commissioners Court meeting, Bosque County Emergency Management Coordinator Chris Anderson said zero deaths from COVID-19 were reported across the state. “This is the first time in a year and a half that that number was actually zero,” said Anderson.

New equipment, upgrades coming for alert systems

HOTCOG recently received a grant that will directly affect Bosque County. “We will have new equipment, reprogramming or repurposing of the existing equipment and at all sites in the county that house infrastructure,” said Bosque County Emergency Management Coordinator Chris Anderson.
