Carol Robinson Tonihka, age 47, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Monday (October 26, 2020) at UT Southwestern Medical Center after battling a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Richard Tonihka.

Carol was born in Greenville, Texas on September 11, 1973 and grew up in Greenville. She was the daughter of Mary Lynn and the late Barry Robinson. She attended the Greenville Christion School during her elementary years and Greenville public schools during junior high and high school.  She attended Texas A&M University–Commerce where she became a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on CIS. She worked as an information manager at Targetbase for 12 years following her graduation until she left employment to devote herself to her family on a full-time basis. 

Besides her husband, Richard, Carol leaves behind her dear children, daughter, Lauren, and son, James. Carol also leaves behind her mother, Mary Lynn Robinson of Arlington, Texas, her sister Sarah Mudie and husband Brent of Arlington, Texas, her brother Ross Robinson and wife Patricia of Mansfield, Texas, niece Caroline Mudie, and nephews Brock Mudie (and wife Lexi), Jack Mudie, Clay Robinson, Cullen Robinson, and Patrick Robinson, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Barry Robinson.

Carol was an incredibly strong, loving, and creative person who loved spending time with and serving her family. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, and cooking.  She was well-known for the elaborate and creative birthday cakes she made for her children and nieces and nephews for their birthdays.  Carol loved people well; she consistently reached out to serve and love her friends and family even while she was challenged with her illnesses.

The funeral and burial will be on Monday, November, 2, 2020; however, it will be a private event for immediate family only due to COVID restrictions. Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mission Arlington at www.missionarlington.org
