Kenneth Buchalski, 75, of Clifton passed away Nov. 27, 2018, at Clifton Nursing and Rehab. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Kenneth was born April 3, 1943, in Chicago, IL to Frank and Florence (Parus) Buchalski. He attended elementary school at Five Holy Martyrs and graduated from DeLasalle High School. After high school, he attended Purdue University for one year. Later he joined the US Navy where he worked as an airplane mechanic from 1960 to 1964.
On Nov. 13, 1974, he married Diana Little in Chicago. They had five children - James, Janet, Frank, Kenneth, and Mary. In 1984, they moved to Clifton to be near his wife’s family.
He enjoyed working with his hands and as his grandson, Jordan would say: if something won’t work, give it to papaw, he can fix it. Kenneth enjoyed riding around town on his scooter, he would often visit Ace Hardware and his wife at her job at Brookshires.
He had a wonderful personality and was always cutting up and laughing with people. His family, friends, and neighbors were important to him. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clifton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard Buchalski and sister Arlene DeBall.
He is survived by his wife Diana; children James Buchalski, Janet Rudd and husband Dean, Frank Buchalski, Kenneth Buchalski and Mary Woodcock and husband Shannon; brother Ray Buchalski and, grandchildren Christopher Rudd, Jordan Buchalski, Zoe Woodcock, Zachary Woodcock, Hunter Yarbro, Noa Yarbro and numerous nieces and nephews.
