Mike Burns joined his beloved Battalion of Angels on April 11, 2020. Mike was born to Margaret and Dan Burns on December 25, 1946 in Houston, Texas. Mike graduated from Sam Rayburn High School; served in the U.S. Army Military Police in Vietnam 1966-1967; resided in Houston where he worked in sales and security; and relocated to Valley Mills, Texas in 1999, where his grandparents and many of their descendants resided for generations.

Nadine Martha Thiele Conrad was 92 years at the time of her passing in the early morning of Friday, April 17, 2020, in Brookdale Senior Living in Sugar Land, Texas. Nadine was born at home on the family farm near Valley Mills, Texas on February 10, 1928, to William Frederick and Emilie Prescher Thiele. Nadine was baptized on March 3, 1928, at her home by Rev. John Link. Nadine was confirmed March 7, 1943, at Zion Evangelical and Reformed in the Womack Community by Rev. Herbert Baur. Nadine graduated valedictorian of her class from Valley Mills High School in 1946. She married Joseph Edward Conrad on June 26, 1948. Two children were born Betty Gail on May 3, 1952, and Ronald Joseph on October 17, 1956.

Claudia Sue Archer, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, in Clifton, Texas. Graveside services will be on Friday, April 17, 2020, 3 PM at the Kopperl Cemetery. Reverend John Crowder will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 2 PM on Friday, April, 17, 2020, at Lawson Funeral Home.

Kenneth Kyle Kitching, born January 8, 1944 in Cisco, Texas to parents Kyle and Odessa (Langley) Kitching, passed away March 31, 2020 at his home in Iredell, Texas surrounded by his family. Kenneth was known by many names: his wife called him Ken or Babe, his daughters called him Dad or Daddy, his sister caller him Bro, his Christian family called him BroKen. Ken’s passions were sharing the love of God, golfing, hunting, motorcycling, boating and fishing. Ken enjoyed inventing and creating efficient ways to do things, known as gizmos and gadgets, and he also loved memorizing scriptures.
