Catalytic converter theft in Clifton

The Clifton Police Department has recently received two reports of theft of catalytic converters off of vehicles in Clifton.  Catalytic converters are an exhaust emission control device that reduces toxic gases and pollutants in exhaust gas.  They contain valuable materials, such as platinum, which make them a prime target for thieves. 

To keep your vehicle safe, you should park in a garage when possible, use motion-sensing lights in your driveway, and park in well-lit areas when possible.
