Unofficial Bosque County elections results
The election was too close to call Tuesday night between Republican Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 candidates Michele Valdez and Leslie Perry.
Unofficial election results show Valdez received 612 votes (42.24%) while Perry received 557 (38.44%). The third candidate, Stan Salome, received 280 votes (19.32%). A candidate must win at least 51% of the vote to receive the nomination, so a runoff election is scheduled for Tuesday May 24 between Valdez and Perry, according to Bosque County Elections Administrator Ashley Rupp.
No other races were contested in Bosque County, meaning only one name will appear on the ballot for each position in November.

Marisusan Kennedy – REP County Chair
Pat Toombs – DEM County Chair
With 12,775 registered voters, a total of 3,456 votes were cast in Bosque County during the primary elections for a voter turnout of 27.05%.
Unofficial results show most people chose to vote on election day with 2,256 people showing up to the polls Tuesday, while 1,089 people voted early and 111 voted by absentee ballot.
In Bosque County, the number of ballots cast for the Republican Party were 2,096 and ballots cast for the Democratic Party were 160.
