Clifton Police Chief Chris Blanton presented three patrol officers with the Chief’s Life-Saving Award at July’s Clifton City Council meeting.

Sergeant Curtis Rust and officer Bradley Boulton responded to a call of a woman having trouble breathing on May 29. While at the scene the woman became unresponsive and stopped breathing. The officers administered CPR and stabilized her until EMS could arrive.

Officer Clint Ryals responded to a call of a suicidal individual threatening to jump off the Bosque River bridge on May 31. Ryals talked the individual back onto the bridge and was able to secure help.

Blanton said there was no doubt the actions of these officers saved two lives.

“I am very proud of these officers for using their training and skills to save the lives of our citizens,” Blanton said. “I am also very proud of the force that we have in Clifton. They work every day to better themselves and I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
