Clifton High School senior Gavin Poole has been selected for the 2022 High School Performance Series at the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria. Poole will perform bass trombone in early August with the Honors Performance Ensemble. Participation in one of the three Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest rated school performers from across the world.

Clifton High School senior Cambria Blanton has become the first student in CISD history to letter in art. Before this year Clifton did not have requirements set for a student to earn a letter in art, but after Blanton returned from the Texas Visual Arts Scholastic Event with two gold seals, art teacher Heather Coe and high school principal Jimmy Jackson made it happen.

-Laura Ashley Marchese, of Clifton, was arrested by Clifton PD Blanton on Dec. 3, 2021, for injury to a child, elderly or disabled person with reckless bodily injury or metal injury.

In the Christmas spirit of giving, the Bosque Film Society will be delivering the gift of movie-going to the public with its Christmas Free Double Feature on Tuesday, Dec. 21 by presenting the classic and unique “The Polar Express,” followed by the comedic and much-loved “Elf” at the historic Cliftex Theatre.
