Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, McLennan County, and McLennan Community College Continuing Education department is offering a professional food manager certification training course. This program will be offered for $125.00 on August 9th and 16th at the McLennan County Extension office located at 4224 Cobbs Dr., Waco, Texas 76710.

Sandburs, also known as grassbur or sandspur, are an annual and/or perennial grass. The sharp, spiny burs are a seed pod that can latch on to passersby for distribution to other locations.

At Thursday’s Bosque Rotary Club meeting Rick Lundberg presented guest speaker Erin Shields, Executive Director of the Bosque Museum. Shields has spent most of her career in museums working with museum education.

The Clifton Education Foundation has announced a record amount of scholarship awards to this year’s Clifton High School graduates, totaling close to $20,000. Thanks to generous gifts and contributions from the community, the amount of scholarships continues to grow every year.
