Clifton’s EMS station moving to Highway 6

Regardless of what high school football team we cheer for, what church we attend, or what town we reside, folks in Bosque County want comfort and care for ourselves, our families, and neighbors during a health emergency. To meet this value, the North Bosque Emergency Medical Service (EMS) is in the process of moving its administrative headquarters and supply hub to Clifton.

The 25th Annual Lucky Clover Golf Tournament drew nine teams of four at the Bosque Valley Golf Course outside Meridian on Saturday, September 9. The first-place team included Buster Felan, Buster Felan III, Steve Acinga, and Patrick Felan.

UCS connects 20,000th member with high-speed Internet

After starting from scratch in 2020 and forging ahead at a record-setting pace, United Cooperative Services recently announced the connection of its 20,000th subscriber to its high-speed Internet. United reached the milestone in only 38 months after connecting its first high-speed Internet subscribers.

Agrilife Extension District 8 report to Bosque County Commissioners Court

Agrilife Extension teaches agricultural producers to adopt best management practices based on new scientific knowledge that will help them increase production, enhance sustainability, and conserve natural resources. Also, by educating the public about agriculture and food production, Agri life Extension creates a partnership with all Texans that can improve food safety and security, reduce the prevalence of food insecurity, and improve diet and human nutrition throughout the state.

The City of Meridian and the Meridian Police Department will host a National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 3, in Lions Park in Meridian. Free to the public, the event from 5 p.m.

Whether they work as a volunteer or an employee, live on a prairie or by a lake, or put out fires or administer first aid, the City of Meridian showed appreciation to first responders in Bosque County with a special dinner on Thursday, September 21. The folks who work in all sectors of emergency services were treated to a free meal of hamburgers and hot dogs, iced tea, chips, and delicious desserts at the Meridian Civic Center.
