Meridian ISD has a new girls basketball coach and high hopes for this year’s season.
Coach Alix Humphries is beginning her 10th year coaching with this being her 8th year coaching varsity basketball. Humphries came from Blum where she spent the last three years coaching varsity basketball.
“My dad was a coach and I played college ball. It’s just in my blood,” Humphries said.
